Association of NS
Orienteering has been growing in popularity since the 1940's with several
clubs and courses in Nova Scotia. Schedule 2002 now online.
St.
Mary's River Association
Eastern Shore rivers like East & West River (Sheet Harbour), the Moser,
Ecum Secum, Liscombe and St. Mary's (Sherbrooke) have been known for decades
for their 'scoop 'em up with your hands' salmon. Now, sadly, most salmon
rivers are 'catch and release' only.
The St. Mary's River Association web site offers a glimpse of the past
- and the future for Atlantic Salmon.
Trout
Nova Scotia
Sport fishing is a favourite pastime in Nova Scotia. Anglers love the
fiestiness of our NS Brook, Brown and Rainbow trout and you'll see fishermen
line the river banks and lakeshores from May to October.
Here are the teams, atheletes and prominent
aquatic sports that call Halifax, Nova Scotia home. As might
be expected, the city's water sports are unequalled. Sailing, surfing,
kayaking, canoeing, diving and sport fishing are featured.

Colleen Jones Skips to Victory
The Nova Scotia Curling Association has some superstar members. After
three tries, determination paid off for Colleen Jones, and her teammates
Kim Kelly, Mary Anne Waye and Nancy Delahunt when they won the World Women's
Curling Championship on April 7, 2001.
Adventure Sports
A comprehensive list of adventure sport links in Nova Scotia includes

Bouldering
In many locales, it's known as cliff-scaling or rock-climbing. Here, in
Nova Scotia, where advancing glaciers left skyscraper sized granite outcrops
on its voyage to the sea, this adventure sport is called "bouldering".
Definitely not an activity for acrophobics (fear of heights).

Junior Championship
