Sherbrooke Sawmill Frolic

McDonald Brothers SawmillWood chips and sawdust will be flying as the fifth annual Sherbrooke Village Sawmill Frolic takes place on Sunday July 28, at the McDonald Bros. Sawmill, on Sonora Road, in Sherbrooke. The afternoon event will feature a woodsmen's tournament with participation in competition and hobby classes. The event begins at 2 pm and runs until 4:30.

The Competition Classes are : Chainsaws - (stock appearing) up to 55cc; up to 75 cc; and over 75 cc; Single Bow Saw; Buck Saw; Axe Throw; Spike Drive; Jack & Jill Bow Saw . Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each category. A nominal entry fee applies.

Hobby Classes (not open to those entered in competition classes) are: Open Chainsaw and Single Bow Saw; Children's Classes: (16 & under & 12 & under) Spike Drive; Mini Bow Saw; Women's Mini Bow Saw & Spike Drive. Entry in the hobby classes are free with non-cash prizes provided to the winners. New this year will be a special classic competition for chainsaws 20 years & older.
